I just recieved and installed these today and I'll tell ya it's like driving a whole new truck. The visibility is supremly improved, I can actually lean out and see now, but just drivin down the road is awesome. It took me a little over a 1/2 hour to swap em out, very easy process. Would of been easier if I had a second person as the stock doors are heavy as hell but it was still not bad. These are without a doubt my favorite mod to date. I only got 2 not so good pics since it was getting dark but I'll get some better ones up later.

What do you do with the wire harness in each door ?

Those definitely look awesome - just worry about clean-up after a day in the dust

Also (obviously) security for the contents of the FJ becomes non-existent, so they are probably better suited to a day on the trail then to daily use. Would it be easy to swap on a regular basis ?

There is a simple disconnect behind each kick panel. You unplug it and the harness feeds right out and stays with the door.

Yeah the harness is 2 plugs, super easy to get to, then the harness and the boot stay with the door.

Yeah the dirt is gonna be a factor, but it already is, I usually wear goggles and keep the windows down. I just like the feel of the wind VS the A/C. Nothin a swiffer pad and a vaccuum cant fix. I am planning on filling the bottom open half with either plexi or a solid plate to divert the mud clots, that is the exact spot I always get mud splashes on my doors since I cut the mudflaps.

Security is definitly an issue, but even with doors if they want it they'll get it, AND leave ya with a repair bill, I dont leave anything valuable in my rig unless I am on a trip or a trail, but then I'm with it the whole time

As for swapping on a regular basis, Sure, I did the job at just over a half hour alone, its 2 plugs and 4 bolts to take the door off and 5 bolts to put the tube door on. It would definitly be easier with 2 people. It's just amazing how different it is. Highly reccomended!

I think covering the tube doors will make a huge difference on the mess inside.

Security-wise, my FJ is a rolling invitation for trouble, so I'd be concerned on the way to the trail during pit stops, refueling stops, etc...but for most normal folks it wouldn't be as much of an issue...

I love wheeling with the doors off. Face it wheeling gets a 4x4 vehicle dirty, get over it or or leave it in the driveway
Looks good about the only concern would be that it would cath the door post on a rock or something and tweak it would be nice if it conformed with the contour of the body. Other than that its great for wheeling when going up steep climbs and such gives you a better idea where the front tire is
