New on the board

Hello everyone....just joined the board to sign up for Borregofest 2009 (I was already on the roster via Ollie, and "So Cal FJ Cruisers").
My name is Lory, and my wife's name is Yvonne. Hopefully, my two sons, Scott & Steven, with Steven's girffriend Kirsten, will be joining us out there.
I've currently got an '07 FJ Cruiser with a 3" lift, 33" BFG KM2 tires, and full skids and sliders.
I've been 4-wheeling since about 1976 -- started in a friend's VW Thing (I learned to drive stick out on Coyote Dry Lake), then was driving my '71 Dodge Colt sedan in the sand washes in Anza Borrego. Finally got a '72 FJ40 the end of 1978, which I drove until 1999 -- put a Chevy 307/TH350 in it in the mid '80's, and have somewhere over 300,000 miles on it now. It's currently undergoing a complete rebuild in my garage. In '99, I got a 2000 Nissan Xterra, and was a founding member of SCCX (So Cal Club Xterra). We went on off-roading adventures at least once a month, anywhere from ~1 mile north of the Mexican border, up as far north as Sequoia NP and Big Sur. I served as an SCCX Board Member for about 4 years. Put about 150,000 miles on the "X", and decided to get back to my roots, buying the FJ Cruiser. Steven now drives the "X" as his daily driver, and also has a '90 Toyota 4WD Extra-cab pickup, which runs a 3.4L V-6 and a SAS with Bilstein 7100's.
So far, I've only had the "new" FJ out on two runs, so I'm still getting used to it. I'm looking forward to Borregofest -- ABDSP has always been one of my favorites -- my FJ40 has accumulated many miles there. I'm also looking forward to meeting the good people!
