I was looking at some YouTube videos from the Mogfest and ran across one I'm sure all the Toyota fans out there will appreciate

Mogs sure make everything look easy. Note the engine speed of the second Mog vs the forward speed (or lack there of)

How about the moron who decided he was strong enough and weighed enough to actually assist the vehicle. NOT a good plan.

Thanks for the post, Bruce.

I think the description of that video said it was Calico.

The Mog videos are a good example of what capability you can get in any vehicle with really big diameter tires, really low gearing, and lots of ground clearance.

I'm not sure what that guy hanging on the Toyota was thinking but unfortunately I've seen people hanging on to all kinds stuck off road vehicles. Here is a particularly egregious example -

It's easy to see what would have happened to all those people hanging off of the front of the Syncro if they did get it unstuck. Imagine running over 3 or 4 of your buddies at the same time. This would be a good one for Tom to use in his intro class on what not to do.

I took Tom's classes and he really stressed this as something to not do.

Yep, that's Calico. It looked like all those rocks were filled in there because the trail had been washed away. Didn't look like a good idea to climb up 'em and tear it up.

I know the exact spot in Calico on Odessa. Either one of them could have taken the shelf road with no problem. :?
