I've been on IH8MUD for just over a year and heard about this site from sdnative. Looking forward to getting out to ABSP with you in the near future.

Well, to begin, I am married-19ys, with 3 kids-girl and 2 boys. My main hobby/passion is mountain biking when I'm not at kids sports/music/karate/etc. Now to the LX450, I purchased a cabin in the Lagunas just over a year ago. I wanted a vehicle that would get me up there during the winter so I purchased the LX450. I owned a '93 locked TLC for about 9 years and loved the way it handled snowy/icy conditions. The factory lockers saved me once in really icy conditions so I would only settle for one which had them. I have always had a passion for the 80s series Cruiser so I knew that's what I wanted again. Finding one that was locked and in good condition was a chore so I expanded my search to include the LX450(figured I could deal with the "pink panties"). After searching for 3 months diligently, I located one up in Modesto and jumped on it. Very clean, locked, 140K, and brand new 285 Nitto terra grapplers on it for $7K.....woohoo! Anyway, wheeled it stock last January for the first time in Anza borrego- fish ceek, sandstone canyon...out to the base of pinyon dropoff and back. I absolutely loved it and couldn't wait to start the mods. In June I installed the OME medium lift, new shocks, and steering stabilizer....gave me almost 3" all the way around. Then, in August, I vacationed up near Yosemite and snuck out and wheeled one day at Shutyeye Peak (attached link). Well, I am constantly thinking about the mods I want to do and the new places I can wheel.....so little time and so little money but the next mods have just been ordered - sliders and skid plate. Can't wait to get out and meet some new people with the same addiction.

Derrick,
I just realized that I never sent you the link, but I'm glad you found it anyway. Keep an eye on the run planning section. We do way more runs here than that other site..

Yes, I definitely want to get this out in the dirt again soon. I will keep an eye on the event schedule but if anyone ever is going out for the day, just shoot me a PM. I just ordered my sliders and skid plate and they are on schedule to be fabbed in a couple weeks and then get shipped from Colorado, so until then, nothing too gnarly. It's funny though, my OEM running boards and tow hitch provided pretty good protection on my first outing. And now I have almost 3 more inches of clearance. That made quite a difference when I did Shuteye Peak. Thanks for the welcome guys!
