This week’s net will cover the subject of wine. Wine is a great companion when recreating in the outdoors as long as done responsibly. That means after the day’s activities and in a safe place like around a camp fire. Our guest will be Wine Master Lynda Harman. Lynda is a wealth of information on wine and will talk about wine making, wineries, reading labels and much more. We will do a taste test of 2 wines. If you want to follow along, purchase a bottle of Gnarly Merlot and Gnarly Chardonnay at Bev Mo prior to the net. These are $12.99 each.

Post Net - update
The Chardonnay was excellent and the Merlot got better, a lot better as it absorbed aired! The net controllers had a good time with the wine tasting. Next time (and there will be a next time) we hope more Hams (excluding those of you who are mobile) can join in the taste test and provide their feedback to the group. As Lynda said, if you like it, it is a good wine no matter the price or what the experts have to say.

We had 33 check-ins and the net lasted almost 2 hours. Many thanks to Lynda for sharing with us her vast knowledge on wine and being our guide for taste testing.

It was great to have you back. At least for the near future, I guess that Echolink will work just fine.

I agree, it was a great net. Her recommendations for wine to test during the net were exceptional. Yours truly was the winner because neither Tom or Linda could drive home with an open container - the bottles and their remaining contents stayed with me!

Linda has consented to return for future nets.
