Indian Country Tour Sign-up

Greetings:
Most of the trip has been finalized. There are a few loose ends that will need several weeks to resolve. More on that later.
The following will be the itinerary:
April 22 - travel day to Canyon de Chelly
April 23 and 24 - Canyon de Chelly
April 25 and 26 - Red Rock Valley
April 27, 28 and 29 Monument Valley
April 30 and May 1 - Keet Seel and Betatakin
May 2/3 - travel day return home.
As I have mentioned before, the type of travel we want to do, requires that we hire a licensed Navajo guide. The portion of the trip where guides are needed will be Canyon de Chelly and Monument Valley, for a total of 7 days. The price we have been able to negotiate is $100.00 per day per vehicle or $700.00 for the whole trip. There will be other miscellaneous expenses, such as camping fees and some admittance fees, but they are minor in comparison.
Keet Seel will require a guide, but that, as is indicated in the brochure, is also comparatively small.
Please use this thread to sign up. If you have any questions before you sign up, especially regarding costs, please pm me or post up here.
Please note that we will be imposing an 8 vehicle maximum for this trip.
Couple of notes:
1. Our guides, especially for Canyon de Chelly and Red Rock Valley, will be traveling in one of our vehicles and using the Ham radio to communicate information. It certainly is not a requirement for this trip, but if you don't have your Amateur Radio license yet, now would be a good time to start studying. If you don't have your license and a radio by the time the trip comes around, we will make sure that you are not left out - don't worry!
2. We will be doing all meals as a group. Start thinking about your best recipes now.
3. We will be having several conference call meetings to organize and plan. I have found that the best way for us to do this is with Skype. If you have not loaded the Skype program onto your computer yet, you will want to do so soon. The download is free and all calls you make to other Skype users are also free. It does require a high speed internet connection (DSL works) - no dial up.
4. We will begin discussing all equipment needs and other planning, following the last sign-up. Separate threads will be used for these purposes.
SIGN UP LIST:
1. Frank (unwiredadventures)
