The gene pool needs some chlorine. Since no one has mentioned it, I am sure the dog died. I think I saw a picture of the "stuck" rig. If it was the rig and an accurate picture, it didn't look all that stuck nor did it appear as though any appropriate efforts were taken to "unstick" the rig.
I then see this "person" on good morning america or one of the morning shows, and they play it up--story of survival. Why not story of Stupidity? Or just another Chowderhead, lunkheaded moron, who killed a dog due to his feeble mind.

so i'm reading this thread... and this is dumb.
bigdave got stuck last year in the snow worse than that. when we got word of it, we were there and back in a few hours with trekking through 3 - 4 ft of powder and shoveling at times. with all the random junk in the news now and with all the random calls i get to go unstick peoples rigs, it's a wonder that i haven't made it on the news yet.
