KE6IRJ/7 Checking In

Hello all. I am new here (brough tover from Expeditions Portal) and as you can tell by now, a HAM. I was origionally licensed in 1994 as a "no Code Tech" class. I then got my code and became a Tech Plus but now with the new rules, I guess I am back to just Tech. I am located in Prescott Valley, AZ (hence the /7)

I am the happy husband of a great family of 5. My wife of 7 years is the most wonderful at-home mom anyone can have. Our kids, Scott (2005), Kevin (207), and Jessica (2009) are our pride and joy. Between our love for our Savior, and our love for our family, I am pretty sure we are "just one big happy family" ha ha.

As for my off road intrests: I started off roading with a 1998 Ford Escort

When I got my 4x4, I had an 87 Toyota 4Runner which I slowly built up on a tight budget to a pretty capable rock crawler with straight axle, 5.29 gears, adn lockers. It was a great rig. When Soctt was born, he enjoyed it, but Kristi expressed that she would rather do trips with a destination rather than all day to cover 6 miles. So we sold the tow rig, trailer, and crawler and got a 1998 4Runner and a pop up tent trailer for camping. Currently, that truck has a mld lift, lots of skids, and 32" tires. We explore all over when we can afford it. With 3 kids, money is tight, as I am sure everyone is. Some day, my wife will get her lifted JK 4-door exploring rig, and the 4Runner will get to be a crawler. But those are pipe dreams right now.

We have a family blog, http://arizonaletendre.blogspot.com and love to have people susbscribe and keep up with us. I also have wheeling videos on You Tube also under the used AZLetendre.

That abou twraps it up, I will not be here a lot as I am very active in the United Christian Off Road Alliance (http://www.ucora.org) and their annual event. Come check it out some time. I will try to stop by as much as can. Nice to meet y'all.

Very glad to have you join us! Sounds like you have your priorities right.

Even though you are a few miles away, please think about joining us on one of our many trips, including ones that venture into your back yard.

Welcome aboard!

Welcome aboard! Like Dave said, you got your priorities straight for sure! BTW, I used to own a '95 4-runner before trading it and a '98 Civic in on the FJ.
