POTLUCK:
Please post your savory dish that you will be bringing to the potluck and it will be added to the head of this thread, then your post will be deleted (unless it is extremely funny).

Please keep your serving sizes to about 6 people. Last year there was enough food to feed all of Camp Pendleton if we had a way to transport it there. I’m sure 12 or more will be able to sample your dish and tell you how great it is.
Hint: the more detailed you are in describing your dish, the more that others will be inspired to up their game.

START TIME: As soon as Larry finds out where we are hiding the food. Probably around dark:30. At which time the appetizers and beverages will be set out followed by the main dishes. Please allow some time to pass before setting up the dessert table. Last year some people skipped the main dish and just ate the dessert part.We would like to start eating between 6:30 and 7:00pm.

Considering all the fine campfire chefs that will be present, Dani and I would like to set up a wine and/or beer (mmmm... Octoberfest) tasting during the potluck. We'll be bringing 3 or 4 different wines, plenty of tasting cups, and something to clear the palette between tastes. If anyone would like to contribute one of their favorite wines to the tasting it would be most welcome.

We'll also be bringing 2 different brews (if I can track them down in time): a Polygamy Porter out of Utah, and some of Arizona's own ChiliBeer.

If we can spare an extra parking spot put me down for firewood as well. I'll load up the bed of the Ranger and bring as much as I can.

Chazz:

Polygamy beer, eh? You know, it's just possible you might find some participants for a beer and wine tasting.

Given our growth, we know that the Saturday night pot luck has quickly become one of the best known highlights of this event. In order to make sure that this will work as well as possible, we are very fortunate to get Dani Layne to help organize and coordinate all of the activities for Saturday Night.

Dani will be posting information shortly concerning activities and sign-ups. Thanks Dani!!

So, Chazz......check with Dani about details on the activities you were asking about and you might be able to get her permission.

I will make my usual: Triple Chocolate Cake, unless everyone is tired of it by now. I will try to bring some fresh homemade sourdough bread as well.

Best thing is to leave the Triple Chocolate Cake with me, so that everyone else doesn't get upset seeing it again...

 Can any one bring along some extra tables to put the food on :?:

I am just remembering how many people were standing and eating last year. So maybe we can leave the picnic tables for eating at.
