Help needed on Miller Jeep Trail

A friend of mine has broken down on the miller Jeep Trail in Los Padres Nat'l Forest (near Hungry Valley).
He sheared the rear driveshaft u-joint bolts while climbing up the trail. Unfortunately, he is a solo vehicle, with no two way radio, and no repair parts on board (No flaming him 'til he gets back, please).
He does have food, water, tent, sleeping bags, etc, and is fine -
I'll be heading up Sat moring to try and render his vehicle drivable - I'm looking for anyone who might be interested in helping out....

I hope you guys get it all worked out. If I lived closer and had the means, I'd be able to help out. I'm sure he'll get an ear-full from you for going out solo and unprepared.

If I wasn't putting new rear axles in my rig tomorrow I'd come lend a hand

Sorry Larry,
In Havasu this weekend. Be careful and give us a heads up as I am sure it will be a learning experience.
Take care, Steve

Geez, you found the one spot in So Cal that's hotter than my area
I think I'll be OK - packed up some tools, some spare parts, and a large dose of motivation....now let's see if I can get it done
Have a great weekend

I hope things are going well for you guys up there today.

Funny, I also have a spare DS and have been putting off buying bolts for awhile now.
I'm sorry, I'm away or I'd go out and help.

Larry,
I hope all went okay. I wish you'd mentioned this on the phone when we spoke Friday afternoon - I could have easily come up with you this am and would have been more than happy to do so with either the FJ Cruiser or the FZJ 80. Since I didn't know, I spent the am out on my bicycle. I Just happened to see this while catching up on the active posts tonite......
