Come out and join us Rebels at our first annual event.Yes,.. REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY on http://rebelchapter4x4.com (if you are not already a member) as we need a rig count. This is a friday night to sunday event. The runs will be on saterday morning with a BBQ and beverage fest back at camp afterwards. Next year we will be working towards a small raffle and awards deal also. Camping will be at "Green Spot campground" and it is RV and tent friendly. While this is a free event donations are also accepted (see Matt KB6MAT) but not mandatory to help with the cost of paying for the group camp area which was paid for in advance for two nights. This camp ground has toilets but there is no water so plan on bringing some and what ever you are going to eat. Also, it might be a good idea to have a forest adventure pass to keep the ranger happy if you are parked off road outside of the camp ground to avoid the five dollar ticket. If you are going or have questions then post up. Rebel Chapter 4x4 windshield banners, logo stickers and a few shirts will be for sale at the event as well.
UPDATE>There will also be a rig/wheel stacking photo shoot in the rock gardens on Gold Mountain

Communications will be on CB channel 4 and on ham 2 meter 146.550 on simplex

Sorry to see that nobody here was interested in this run as it was a blast in more ways than one. To see the pictures and videos http://rebelchapter4x4.com and then go to "Trail Reports"

Hey Matt:

I'm glad the event turned out well. Maybe everybody here is getting ready for Borrego Fest.

I too am glad your event turned out well. I am always interested in events like this one. As DaveK mentioned, I am gearing up for BorregoFest and I'm limited on time and funds. It looks like it is quite an event. :)

I can honestly understand that.It is not cheap doing the events. When I got back I had to gear up for another annual event at "The Hammers" in Johnson Valley. I did good at the raffle though. Spent twenty bucks on tickets and came home with a set of rock slider rails worth 400 bucks from Gen-Right off road. Also to see the trail report pictures and video from the "Rebel Rigs on The Mountain" event you may go to here http://rebelchapter4x4.com/forums/viewt ... e6c496bd79 Trying to scratch up some extra cash to do the borrego gig. Hope to see you guys out there.

Looks like you guys had great time up there. If only I had the time, money and resources I'd head out to a lot more events. Thanks for posting this up!
