An interesting start to our quail season today...
We had about 20 minutes of
somewhat safely clear skies around 0730, when I managed to nab one FAT bird from which we got an almost sandwich-sized chunk of meat. The rest of the morning has been spent fixing the live traps for the quail covey on our property (too close to shoot) and waiting for the lightning to stop.

Can't wait to go to Catalina and get some more of these for the barbie...
