Well, I've mentioned enough here that my wife and I are expecting so I thought I'd make an official announcement. On October 22nd we found out that we're having a girl.

Part of me is kind of happy because I'm afraid that when we have a boy, he'll be just as dirty minded as his father! Of course with a girl I'm already dreading the days as she gets older. I'll be the dad who's like- "Now boy, I have a gun, shovel and a 4x4. So no one will ever find you."

All kidding aside, it looks like we have quite the adventure ahead of us.

I should have mentioned, we're naming her Audrey Ellen Graham. Audrey after my grandmother and Ellen after my wife's.

Here's a picture of my grandma and I in 1985. We were on a whale-watching boat. I was 6 years old. "Grandma, I'm trying to see the whales!"


It was my grandparents who first really instilled into me a love of the outdoors.

A dozen? I wish it was a dozen. Dillen isn't even 8 yet and it's started...

Congrats! As a father of a 12 year old girl (going on 19), I can only tell you to enjoy them while they are young! They are sweet and innocent until about 10. Then they can't figure out if they want to cuddle with you, or rip your eyes out, or just ignore you. I wouldn't trade it for anything though!!

My dating plan is to severely maim the first boy that comes around, then hopefully word will get out and no one else will be interested.
