Winching

Not really a new member. I simply had not put the sign-in info on my password list, so I needed to re-register, using an internet email address.
I found this evening's topic on winching most interesting. The description on the website was sufficiently clear that I could easily picture the extraction. That was a good thing, as I never did find the link to the pictures of that extraction. Makes me wonder how that Land Loser looked after standing on its head.
I went to the Hi-Lift website and took a look at the video showing the use of the jack as a winch. The fellow in the video demo seemed to be putting himself at risk with his position relative to the chain used for the procedure. I could be mistaken in that assessment, so if anyone thinks otherwise, have at it. Perfect, and always correct, I ain't; my lovely wife and my kids will confirm that.
