The Hunt

So I decided it was time to hunt and trap some nasty beasts. Though I am not big on baiting, I decided it was the route to take. I needed to bring them in close. I had the dogs close to help with the death battle that I knew was coming. It was cold and I waited with anticipation. It didn't take long. The dogs started to bark, the fight was on. I sprang up from the couch and ran out to the garage. Three dead mice in the traps, two traps licked clean and never tripped and one trap was gone.
I am a bit perplexed as to what happened to the one trap. After an hour of looking, it is not to be found. I think I smell a rat.
Cheers, Steve
