2011 Grand Staircase Escalante

Well, Hector is out on the trip and I'm stuck at home this time so I guess it's my turn to post the in-progress updates.
I got an HF Airmail from Dave last night, they are "roughing it" at camp...

Do you know if they are going to be on HF during the nights? And if so will they be on any particular freq? Would be cool to make an HF contact with them while they are out in the middle of nowhere.

http://aprs.fi/?call=ke6vrl-2&others=1 check the beacon to see what frequency we will be working. I have been making sporadic contacts during the week. Most likely working 20 meters.

We still haven't heard anyone from the group on the Navajo Mountain repeater 146.960 - 100 pl. They should be able to hit this repeater from there location on Hole in the rock rd. I'll be monitoring that repeater.

I made contact with KE6VRL yesterday, Looks like they are at Alstrom Point in the GSENM. An amazing area with great views of Lake Powell
