Seems a group of 14 Rapter owners went out for a desert run with their trucks, and 10 came back with bent frames..

I hope these guys know what kind of damage they can expect if they roll one of these at 100mph plus. Scary.

Not suprising. It seems they were exceeding the design limits of the vehicle. The crazy thing is they said they were going to do it again. Need more chlorine in the gene pool.

I happen to like fords and use my F 150 quite a bit. I have seen all the video and read up on the rapter from before they were released to today. I have spent time looking at them and driving them. I have been contemplating replacing my f 150. However, I have not been impressed with the rapter. My thoughts were that they were ugly--colors and goofy interiors-- and I have never been able to see how they can claim the travel on the suspension. It also seemed to me to have too many gizmos for off road driving--this setting for this and that setting for that. Plus, I assume ford will get rid of the 6.2 for a DOHC design. Ford has introduced three new motors for the f 150 family and I do not want to be a test dummy and have serious doubts about some of their claims. In regards to the rapters being worked too hard and ford not covering them, I think they created this problem. I think they should warrenty them and do a recall. If one watches the ford videos on the rapter, they claim they tested them in a torture test and tried to break them so the customers wouldn't. They do have little, ambiguous disclosures within the videos, but the advertising hype can not be ignored. When I replace my f 150, it will be with the tundra.
