I can pick up this winch for $200. Seems like a good deal. Need to decide by tomorrow.

I realize it is too small for my truck for a direct pull, but would it be worth it to mount it on my bumper for either double line pulls or recovery of smaller vehicles?

I would say to small, you can get a new smittybuilt xrc 8000 for 299.00 with free shipping. Has great reviews and two of my friends own them and have worked flawlessly.

Are you able to bench test it? I would at least take the cap off and check the internals. I've seen some pretty ugly internals after years of rain and river crossings. Also what will the cable set cost you if you need to relocate the remote? Good luck.
