Outdoor Adventure USA

There is a boat concert here in Havasu. So, this evening I went down to the shoreline to get some pictures. It was near the marsh area. I set up the tripod and camera at the waters edge and it was very dark. I was standing there for a few minutes, and thought I saw something move out of the corner of my eye. I turned around with my surefire and saw something. Lit it up with the flashlight and it was a skunk not more than five feet from me. I guess he had decided to take an evening walk and had almost walked right up to me. Needless to say, he immediately freaked and raised his tail as I turned tail and ran--leaving the camera to fend for itself. After getting out of range, I looked and he was making his way back towards the marsh. He must have been a Craig Morgan fan. A few pics:

I saw stinks and thought it was a typo. Then read "boat" three words in and went, "oh crap, he lost his camera overboard." while i'm sure you weren't thinking it at the time, in my head, this was a much better outcome. whew.
