Hi everyone. Signed on a bit ago but haven't posted. I last saw some of you at the Big Bear field day event; I had the white Xterra.

Hope all is well.

Hey man. Unfortunately, no. Can't do any fun trips until I find a new job.

Well, the Xterra is a 2002 SC with a supercharged V6, dual ARBs, 33" ATs, and armor and front/rear bumpers by Shrockworks. Since it's a Nissan, there's often no direct way to mod or bolt on, so it takes a more personal touch and a lot of the extra stuff I made or had to tweak to get it in and look clean. Next, long ongoing project is to get a solid axle under the front end; I have a shaved Dana 44 sitting in wait.

As for coms, just running a Yaesu straight 2m with a whip and a few HTs (FT 60 and VX7R), though an 857d is on the list to save up for.

Here's the latest project, which I showed Larry at his shop. I went from Nato cans on the roof to Rotopax on the swing away.

Hard to see in this pic, but we altered the top piece on the high lift to cover the fuel can opening. Since the piece was just flat steel, it wasn't too hard and looks good. A discreet solution to help keep the honest person honest. The holder on the water jug side was cut shorter to allow a spout to be installed so I could wash hands, get water in camp, etc.

Had to space out the bottle opener as well, 'natch.

Welcome to the site, Bobby.

Nice Xterra you got there. And good luck with the job hunting!
