It was surprising from the check-in on Tom's Death Valley net last week how few people have been to Death Valley or haven't visited there in many years. They are missing out on one of the most historic and ruggedly scenic areas of California. Perhaps there should be some OAUSA organized event or run to Death Valley to encourage people to visit the area.

Dude you're killin' me! I want to get out and explore Death Valley so bad!

So little time in my life right now.

I'm thinking about something out there in January or February. I'll post up as we get closer.

I just saw the post about Death Valley.
My wife & I are meeting my mom and some of her friends (MOUNTAIN BIKERS) The end of January 27th thru 31st 2012
We are taking our motor home & jeep. Were staying at the Furnace Creek Ranch RV Park they are staying at the little motel there as well. We will be exploring the area VIA our jeep, while the others are biking. I’ve been there once before several years ago & can’t wait to go back, my mom goes there almost every year. There are couple of camp grounds in the area. If you guys were able to schedule you trip that weekend we would love to explore the area with your group. I know I would get a little further off the beaten path if there were other rigs with us.

providing the dates work, i'd be in. i'm even willing to yank the girls from school for a couple of days. i was telling dillen about the racetrack the other day and the idea of those moving rocks fascinates her. be way cool to show her.

I would love to get a trip out there with someone who knows the area, keep me informed

We'll let everyone know what's going on as we get closer.
