Well, I've finally got the new Powertank CO2 tank that I won at BorregoFest 2011 (Thanks again, Cruiserlarry!) filled and mounted. I didn't have many options, so this is what I came up with:

Purchased 12"x24" diamond plate at Lowes, hacked off an 8"x12" section and mounted the Superbracket onto the plate and then mounted the whole assembly to a spot in the bed of my Ranger. I had to dodge a tie down spot and tried to keep it upright and out of the way so it wouldn't get damaged when I put other items into the bed. I also put some truck door moulding onto the exposed edge of the plate so I wouldn't lacerate myself when using the tie down point.

I cut out a 7"x7" piece of 2" thick foam to put under the tank to help support the tank and to help insulate it from the floor of the bed for shock relief. Here's some pix:

I'll try to post one or two in a day or so. I took these pix with my Blackberry and thought they would be far enough away BUT, my Blackberry surprised me with very good pix resolution.

Thanks, I was about to get one for my truck a couple weeks ago and life found other uses for my funds, but it is still top of my list to do. I just want to see more of an overview of how it sits in the truck, so i can have a starting point on figuring out what will work for me.

Here's more of an overall layout of the bed of my truck. Kinda busy in this bed.
The black w/red stripe tubes are made from 3" ABS and hold the coiled hose (longer tube) and the tire chuck, fittings and tire deflators (shorter tube). This way they are better protected and not easily lost.

Thanks for the photos, sure makes my couple of milk crates ratchet strapped against the cab look cheap though.
