While material things are nice, as I get older I better understand that it is family and friends I am most thankful for - regardless of my views, my mood, my possessions, or my accomplishments (or lack thereof ), my family and friends are always there for me - Thank you.

Heading down to the canals outside of Calipatra for some Catfish and Camping. Any good scenic drives down there?

Yeah! That's one of my favorite areas to fish! Let us know how you did out there.

Great trip, and basically my first time in the area. I went by to pick up someone last weekend after Sidewinder. His family has been camping there every thanksgiving for over 30 years, and my wife and I went down to join them this year. We camped right next to the main channel off of titsworth.
We had a group of about 15, 4 motor homes and my tent, and nearly 100 catfish, although 51 of them were from my friends Mother, she is a machine. Saturday afternoon was a huge fish fry, and bonfire.

I did go check out some of the desert area, but just for a few minutes. I definitely want to get back down there and explore a little more, and though we have only been home a couple hours we are making plans to go back next Thanksgiving.

Sounds like a fun time. I think that's the Coachella Canal you camped next to?
