Forever Wild

I took the family to Forever Wild. I did a short post on big cats in the photo section. After seeing the pictures posted by John, I was looking forward to it. I have a link in the other thread. My grandson seemed to enjoy himself and I was impressed. The King Cobra definately got my attention. The two other items that struck me were the size of the tigers and the couger. They had an African lion as well. One of the tigers had been in some type of photo show. According to our guide, he hated large camera's and the person using it. His paws were larger than my head. I took a few pictures and he was not happy, but when I turned my back to him he charged the fence/cage. Talk about your spine tingling. He stood over 9 ft tall. The growl was spooky. I got a shot of him and he is not happy. I was also impressed with the size of the couger they had. He seemed rather large. Sure enough, in Havasu this weekend, I was trying to find a secluded cove and as we were hiking down a trail looking for the river, The wife says, "are there cougers here?" Got me thinking that I had better blow the dust off the old 44 and start to practice.
