Thanks for putting on the meet and greet today - extra thanks for doing it within 5 miles of my house! That was handy. It was great to get out and see the rigs and meet some new faces.

I'm Tyler. Currently I'm trying to get rid of my stock Cherokee in favor of getting back into a Toyota (4th gen 4Runner). I've been playing outside for quite a few years now, but am (obviously) new here. I'm a former backpacker/hiker/rock climber/TreadLightly! trainer/kayaker/skier/mountain biker looking to make a little more time for the things I love. I've been active on ExPo for a number of years, but have drifted away from it a bit due to a changing culture over there. This seems like a great group though and I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Cheers!

Welcome to OAUSA, Tyler !!!

It was nice to meet you today at the Meet & Greet, and I hope we'll have the opportunity to see you out on the trails soon, too.

I think your impression of this group is accurate - it's a fantastic assortment of folks with many different interests and areas of expertise, all with a common love of the outdoors... :D

Glad to have you on board :)

Hey Tyler:

Welcome aboard!

We're very glad you could make it to the M&G.

We will be having an event in a couple of months that will give you an opportunity to get some trail time, do some camping and check out the Ham radio side of OAUSA - Summer Fest. While the exact location has not been set, It will likely be in our local mountains and not more than a few hours drive from the South Bay. We will be posting information shortly.

Thanks everyone. I'm looking forward to the meet ups and trips.

sdnative, I hope the guy who bought my 80 (was his name Dean?) has been happy with it. I loved that truck and still miss it regularly.
