Summer Fest / Field Day Early Planning

Summer Fest and Field Day will be here before we know it. With about three months before we hit the road, there are a lot of things that we need to do to plan for the event, including selection of a location, Field Day needs and assignments, coordination of trail runs and coordination of the pot luck, (just to mention a few).
Most of our team is in place now, but we would like to open it up to anyone who would like to participate. Let us know if you are interested in helping out!

Is there a specific time and meeting place yet? I don't have a cb or ham radio yet (studying up for it) but I do have a very capable 2000 Nissan Xterra 4WD truck. Can I help in any way?

There will be plenty to do, once we have settled on a location. Thanks!
If you are looking to get your first license, you should consider taking the exam at Summer Fest, right after Field Day. That gives you plenty of time to study and take as many practice tests as needed.

Just replied to your post about studying for the Tech exam...we'll be holding a testing session at SummerFest, so in addition to assisting with the event, you can take the opportunity to earn your Tech license..

Looks like I will be camping in Big Bear this weekend, I have plans on Sunday, but will have Saturday available if there are any locations you would like me to check out, or if anyone wants to come up and we can check out some locations together.
