This week's net topic will be hiking. Hiking and backpacking are two seperate topics but share some of the same issues. Hiking is generally considered a one day event and backpacking is considered a multi-day event. We will reserve the topic of backpacking for another net in the future. We will cover some of the major issues surrounding hiking such as gear, planning, essentials, and common mistakes.
