A man went missing at the same mud caves we all explored during BorregoFest.

I don't know... who goes off alone into a cave? A real danger out there is walking out on top of those hills that contain the mud caves. You could break through the ceiling and find yourself in a cave with no exit.

He also was without shoes, water, or communications - his family went off into the caves, came out and he's gone...very strange all around...

This guy was found. They suspect he crawled down into a notch to nap or explore and slipped and fell. He got wedged and died. I'll give it up to is family who diligently search and got the right people out there to find him even when most legal authorities had given up.
