Greetings!
Thanks to the wonders of Google I was able to find your forum and site.
Larry Schultz. N4TKS. Live in San Diego. I have been a Ham operator for more than 20 years. Purchased my first truck in 1993 and enjoyed some off road, but it was not until 2002 when I purchased my F-250 4x4 that I really got out from the pavement and enjoyed the rest of the outdoors. Grew up in the boy scouts, (lots of camping and hiking), but since I have gotten older, I much perfer the camping in my 30' 5th wheel. Wife and I have towed that thing all across the country in the last 10 years. Much perfer dry camping with friends to RV parks. (I know not exactly 4 wheeling rigs, but we still get around)
I have been very active with San Diego Sheriff Search and Rescue (and other details) since 2000.
Currently Active Duty US Navy (Senior Chief) 24+ years.
Even though I now have a general ticket, I don't own any HF gear, and I still have not made my first HF contact (somehow I am certain this group could help me rectify that situation).
Looking forward to the San Diego Meet and Greet. (Should be back in country by then)
