2008-06-19: Vehicle Batteries, Dual Batteries, and Coolers

The topics discussed on the net were vehicle batteries, dual battery installations, and coolers, both ice and electric. The net went over two hours with 30 check-ins. There was a lot of participation on the cooler discussion with several checking in on the electric coolers. One of the larger Frig-freeze units (the only one made in USA) has been on my "I need it list" for some time. It sure would be nice to have a full range of coolers to evaluate in the field, or desert, as the case may be. Those interested in an electric frig should check out the Summer 2007 issue of Overland Journal. Nice write up and a very good evaluation. We had a few new faces and some regulars checking in, including the Dirty Parts man himself, Larry, BruceK, TomS, Ollie, Hector, TimA, RussC, BruceB, Ken, and others.
