Right now it looks like we're securing a spot on the west shore of Fiesta Island to hold our San Diego Meet & Greet / Ham Radio Test Session. More information will follow in regards to the exact logistics.

We're looking for a fun day of relaxing on the beach with all of our outdoor friends and their families.

Expedition Portal wants to hold a get together the same day in the same location. We have made arrangements to just hold one event together so we can be one big happy group.

DIRECTIONS:
FROM I-5 SOUTH...
1. At exit 21, take ramp right for Sea World Drive toward Tecolote Road

2. In 0.2 miles Turn right onto E Mission Bay Dr

3. In 0.1 miles Turn left onto Fiesta Island Rd

4. Follow Fiesta Island Rd 2.0 miles around island to M&G location.


FROM I-5 NORTH...

Can't wait to go...beautiful spot to hang for the day, drooling over all the great rigs and equipment on display..

After making a run out to the island this evening, I think the best location will be the northwest corner of the island. On the odometer it's exactly 2.0 miles after you make the right onto the one-way road that loops around the island. The full length of the road is 4.0 miles so it's at exactly the half-way point.

I'll get a map made up and add all the information, with directions, to the first post.

The first post has been updated with directions and a aerial view of the island showing the general area of where we'll be.

I've never caught anything too substantial off Fiesta Island but I'll still be sure to bring some fishing gear.

This sounds like a blast, I think I'll head down with a couple of kayaks.
