This makes me mad because of what some people do and sad because we lost some more treasured history. I hope they catch these people!

I will never understand this type of destruction, or the need to "own" something that is far more awe-inspiring when visited in its natural setting. Those that perpetrated this crime probably have no idea of the far-ranging and long term negative impact their actions have caused.
I empathize with the sadness and anger of the local Indian tribes who still used this area as a place of worship and ritual - what 3,000 years of nature couldn't damage, it took a few modern men only hours to destroy...
May Karma find them, and pay appropriate tribute to them.
