Dave do you know if we will be allowed to have a fire of any type? Are there fire rings?

All,
I can help out in any capacity you need me to. I know nothing of the trails up there, so leading a run is out.

There is a fire ring and 2 charcoal grills. Last time I checked fires are allowed in SBNF fire rings, but that may change, so we'll need to check the current fire restrictions once we get closer to the date.

Hey, it was a nice excuse to go have breakfast at the North Shore Cafe, really no problem at all.
On the drive in you pass through a couple miles of burned area from last year's fires, but you pass through that before you get to the campground. I will say that the photos make the place look a little nicer than it is. It doesn't seem to get much use and could use some new picnic tables. It was built for equestrians, but one of the rangers I spoke with said they don't like that area so much anymore because of all the OHV use.

That fire ring is lopsided. We may have to cancel the whole event.

If you get your license before summerfest, I can let you borrow a handheld 2m
