Our net this week will be on photography with an emphasis on outdoor activities. Our guest will be professional photographer, John Aydelotte, KE6U. So, dust off your cameras, cell phones, or Yaesu FT 400s and join us.
Reminder: if you have a picture that you would like to see as our Official OAUSA Banner, let us know!
We will be posting some example of Johns work, below. This net is also your opportunity to share some of your camera work and tell us where it was taken, what type of equipment you were using, and any special techniques you used. Since just about everyone carries a phone and since they all have cameras these days, everybody ought to have something to contribute. Don't be shy.

One of the hottest accessories for the photographer these days is editing software. Tonight, John will discuss a few of the best editing programs, but time will limit the number of products we can cover. So, if you are looking to get into editing your photos, here are a few sources that can offer perspectives and recommendations:
1. PC Magazine:
http://www.pcmag.com/products/26678
2. Digital Trends (on best free software):
http://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/ ... -software/
3. Reviews.com (for beginners, pros and cost conscious):
http://www.reviews.com/photo-editing-software/
This is just a sampling of the information comparing photo editing software. Do your own search for your specific needs and discover the wide field of choices (pro, novice and free)

Some photos from a recent trip. My theory:
o You can't take pictures if you don't carry your camera.
o You will find the more pictures you take, eventually you will find what works for you and eventually more photos will be keepers than throw-a-ways.
o Experiment...it's almost free with the digital era!
o Know the "basics" but don't be afraid to push the "rules" in your favor.
o Software editing can be very forgiving...the above apply as well.

Again, me and the sunset. If it works, go for it.

My buddy capturing the tracer fire. Several shots overlapped and a more scenic sky put in.
