VEHICLE MOUNTED AIR COMPRESSORS
We did this net over two years ago, but between requests to revisit the topic as well as the value to those who travel in remote areas, we decided it was time to bring up the discussion once again. During the net we will do a review of the different types of vehicle mounted (on board) air compressors that will help with all your mobile air needs, from airing up tires to inflating air mattresses.
Even though we are describing the net as "vehicle mounted", we intend to include the various compressors that are portable. As always, we know what has worked well for us, but we would like to hear your experiences too.
Here are several examples of on board air compressors
Extreme Air by Outback Extreme (from their Website at: http://www.extremeoutback.com/product/8 ... 7-000.html )
ViAir by ViAir Corporation (from their website at:( http://www.viaircorp.com/ )
Oasis XD-400 (from their website at: http://aircompressors.oasismfg.com/view ... ompressors? )
A few companies offer York compressors for almost any application.
For those not familiar with York compressors and why they offer an excellent choice for on-board air, click this link: http://www.jedi.com/obiwan/jeep/yorkair.html . Here is what the York compressor looks like:
