VEHICLE MOUNTED AIR COMPRESSORS

We did this net over two years ago, but between requests to revisit the topic as well as the value to those who travel in remote areas, we decided it was time to bring up the discussion once again. During the net we will do a review of the different types of vehicle mounted (on board) air compressors that will help with all your mobile air needs, from airing up tires to inflating air mattresses.

Even though we are describing the net as "vehicle mounted", we intend to include the various compressors that are portable. As always, we know what has worked well for us, but we would like to hear your experiences too.

NAPA Lock on Air Chuck part number 90-536

The air chuck pushes straight on and locks onto the valve stem in 2 spots making a more solid grip that the standard ball foot type air chuck. It is normally closed so can only be used on a compressor that has a pressure switch. It fits on 1/4 inch FNPT (pipe thread). Good up to PSI of 175.
You might find one at the local NAPA. If so they will only have 1 or 2. You can order it on line from NAPA
