Winch recommendation

It's time to add a winch to my FJ.
M8000 going to work or do I need the 9.5K? or bigger?

Hi Brent,
The recommendation is at least 1.5 times GVWR. The FJ is rated at 5330 to 5570 GVWR. The 8000 winch is right at that point.
We tend to overload with gear beyond the rated GVWR but get away with it because we upgrade suspension and tires.
The upshot is I recommend the 9500.
