One of the benefits of having many members here is the opportunity to hear from others about their experiences with the outdoor products that they use. This market is anything but static, as there are new products and improved products that are coming out all the time. But, whether they are new, improved or just old products that we have yet to consider, they are all fair game for this net.

It's one thing to see an advertisement for something or read an article, but there is no substitute for field testing to help us to determine if it will work for us. So, for this net, we need to hear from everyone who has used an outdoor product, (whether intended for such use, or not) and let us know how it works. And remember, we are just as interested in the good reports as the bad ones. Reports are good, but pictures are great!!!

Flame King Refillable 1 Pound Cylinder
Refills from larger propane tanks for use with appliances that require 1 pound cylinders.
Note: Not exactly the same size as a regular cylinder. Previous version was recalled.
Propane Cylinder Adapter
This handy adapter permits standard, inexpensive 1-pound propane cylinders to fuel stoves (such as JetBoil) and lamps that normally require more expensive, smaller, lightweight [iso]butane propane canisters.

Sabre Power Tac
Bought this at a gun show. I threw away the pocket clip and have carried it in my front pants pocket every day for a year. I use it in the two AAA battery (long) option. It finds a use every single day. It is very bright for its size. I replace the batteries way before required to ensure I always have the strongest light possible form it. The flexable rubber switch has not torn like several prior light. And I was assured they would replace it if it ever did,

Work Sharp Ken Onion Electric Knife and Tool Sharpener

I may need to change my mind about using power knife sharpeners. I recently purchased a ken Onion Edition Knife and Tool Sharpener. I have only used it on the slow speed and have not had any issues. The design and the instructions implement all the concepts I understand about sharpening.
This might be the outdoor gift for 2017. I have seen it stocked wall to wall in the major stores like Cabela’s and Sheels. Price is $129 – 150.

Propane Refill Adapter

You can refill your one pound Colman propane cylinders from a 20 pound BBQ tank and save a ton of money. You need this adapter which can be purchased for under $20. The cost for one bottle refiled becomes about $1 vs $5 or $6 if you buy a new one.

Here is a quick post of my favorite camp chair, the Kermit Chair. Nicely made of wood in the U.S.A. They can be carried like a standard folding chair or break down into a small pack for motocycle camping or to save space.

They aren't cheap at $159 for the basic chair and another $40 if you want to extension legs but it is a quality American made product and I've hand mind for about 10 years now and they have only needed an occasional tightening of the screws to keep them going.
