COMMUNICATIONS

Ham radio will be the primary means for communication. Every one should have an HT. A few of the areas we will visit actually are within cell phone range. We have members who will be packing mobile hot spot devices in the event that your carrier is not available. Last time I checked, we have Verizon covered.

I suspect that some will be running APRS. Coverage is excellent. If anyone needs some help setting up their system, speak-up.

Given our altitude, especially in the Dark Canyon areas, HF opportunities should abound. Last time we visited, HF was in excellent form. A couple of nice set-ups:
