Hey Everyone,

I’m Joe (KN6QHJ). I’m recently retired and have been a licensed ham for the past 18 months thanks to some encouragement from Tom Severin. I spend a lot of time offroading between family trips and group outings with the Roughwheelers club, located in Redondo Beach, CA. Past wheeling trips have been as far away as Montana, Wyoming, Utah and Texas. Traveling to some very remote parts of the US has stoked my interest in HF and getting my General.

Looking forward to meeting you on a future net or trip.

It looks like you are quite well traveled, that is, in the remote areas of the southwest. We have been doing an annual long term trip to the remote areas of Northern Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada and Southern Utah for several years. When you get a chance, check out our expedition adventure section.
