Motorcycle Camping?

After listening to tonight's net I was thinking that it may be of interest to have a net on motorcycle camping. There may be some other people who like myself have recently gotten back into motorcycling and who may want to find out more about bike camping.
I rode a 100cc Yamaha YL-1 some back in high school and had wanted to get back into motorcycling since taking an MSF class about a year and a half ago. Just recently I started looking seriously again for a bike and happened into a good buy on a '95 Kawasaki Concours after not being able to find any new smaller entry level bikes
. It turns out that any non-sport bike less than 1000ccs had been snatched up in the last few months by folks looking for high mileage commuter bikes
.
I've ridden a variety of bicycles through the years so I'm used to balancing, counter steering, and leaning into turns. The Connie turned out to be just the ticket and I got used to it much more quickly that I expected
. I'd like to try using for it's intended purpose sometime and take it out on a camping adventure even if it is on pavement. I'm eager to learn how to do it from the folks on the net who have done it before.
