Our amateur radio Net Control Group has plans to put together a meet and greet at the Bass Pro Shop in Rancho Cucamonga on Thursday, October 16th. The idea is to get together for supper at one of the restaurants in the shopping center there, then have a remote net control station for our Thursday night Outdoor Adventure Net either inside or outside of the Bass Pro Shop. The details are being worked out by the Net Control Group. The amateur radio net starts at 7:30pm. Times will be announced about where and when we plan to meet for supper before hand.

THAT is an amazing store. a warning to whomever goes up there: ALLOW A FEW HOURS (at least) TO WANDER AIMLESSLY THRU THAT STORE.
i know for sure i wont be able to make this m&g. too soon post op for me to venture up there........and i'll be charging up for Borregofest. have fun though.

Thanks, Frank. I'll be participating on the radio. I just can't justify the time and mileage on a work night.

If that is where Pro Bass Shop is, then what is that at this lat/lon? Can these be in the same mall?
lat 34.112977 / lon -117.527103 it's up in the top right side of the mall.

It's actually across the street from the mall parking lot.

you cant miss it folks.......its a HUGE store right next to the freeway with bunches of malls surrounding it. it may look confusing on paper cause you have to sort of meander thru parking lots, around corners, etc...to get into bas pro shops. its sort of confusing to get in there the first time. your gps will get you there dont worry.......and if it doesnt.....you cant miss it! have fun.

North bound on I-15, I almost always miss the exit just before the store Foothill Blvd. ( and the most direct route). But the next exit is Baseline Road and you can work your way back to the store ( which you just went screeming by on the freeway). I know becasue that is how I do it most of the time!

sounds good guys, i'm planning on being there... i really have no excuses since i can walk there. I know i havn't been on the net before due the intense winds taking out ALL my antennas last january but here is my .02 If you need help, radio eq. coax, what ever let me know, are you planning on having a table and display area? being indoors there will most likely have it's challenges with signals being indoors. a spot in the parking lot i think would work best. Any plans to demonstrate HF? let me know if you need any help.
