I soooo want to attend this... Since it's so close to Borregofest, I know the boss will revoke the hallpass.

I really like that orange metaltech FJ in the pic above. Who knows what it costs to get something like that done?

Well I would guess you would need about $5000.00 just to get started, not including paint.

In 2006 several of us made the trip through the Santa Margarita mountains out to a funky little place called the Pozo Saloon. It was a great time and I want to do it again this year so I checked in with Jim Brantley, the organizer of SnT to see if he was heading out there as well. This is the response I received from Jim this morning.
Hi Scott,
Due to the ever growing size of the event, we won't be organizing a formal trip to Pozo this year. Basically, I've got my hands full demobilizing "SNT HQ" from the beach Sunday morning and it's just too much for me personally to make it out to Pozo or the inland trails.
That said, anyone that wants to make an informal run to Pozo or the inland trails I'd be happy to provide directions, maps or other support. I'll have that information available at the event. It is a great side trip that highlights the diversity of wheeling on the central coast. I'm sure anyone that makes the trip won't be disappointed.
Cheers,

I have volunteered to help Jim tear down on Sunday but I still plan to organize a run out to Pozo leaving Oceano by 12:00 noon. I'll post up directions to Pozo later today or as Jim said he'll have them at SnT if your interested in doing your own thing.
The parking lot at the Pozo Saloon
Hamming it up
A few cold ones out back.
Tri-Tips on the grill
Jordan and I
Chillin' on the big stage out back
The food is almost ready
New SnT shirts
Ready for the drive home
Sunset on the ride home
Welcome to Pozo Saloon

The Pozo Saloon is located off the US Highway 101. From north or south, take the Santa Margarita exit. Follow all the signs to Santa Margarita Lake. We are located 10 miles past Santa Margarita Lake on Pozo Road. Please stay on Pozo Road after leaving Santa Margarita. If you come from the east on 58, DO NOT TURN AT THE SIGN THAT WILL SAY POZO 12 MILES!!! THAT IS THE OLD STAGE COACH ROAD. KEEP HEADING WEST TO POZO ROAD!
These are on road directions only. We will be taking a very scenic somewhat challenging fire road that connects with Pozo Road. I'll post our directions later.
