We need some feedback from 2008 BorregoFest to know how we can improve the 2009 BorregoFest. This is the time to share your ideas while they are still fresh on your mind.
Everyone deserves to be outdoors!

That is a really good idea BoBo, I personally threw away lots and lots of good eats.BoBoNel wrote:i suggest that next FEST (or anytime there is a potluck involved) that folks bring along some foil and empty containters to take home some food.....i think folks feel funny doing that and everyone should be invited and encouraged to bring home food from the potluck leftovers. there was sooooooooooooo much food and alot of wasted food that was thrown away. we all could have eaten off of those leftovers for a week or more.![]()
so....next fest.......on the potluck thread......put reminders for folks to bring leftovers home to share.
We avoided the Happy Hour aspect for obvious reasons but you're right, some type of activity to get folks to mingle or interact is a great idea. There was a whole group of people I never met and did not have an opportunity to introduce myself to.Frogeye KI6LHP wrote:Next fest, I vote for a Happy Hour with some kind of icebreaker activity before the potluck to help everyone meet.
We avoided Happy Hour? I wasn't aware of that.gon2srf wrote:We avoided the Happy Hour
Some of us had a night run to do.Cnynrat wrote:We avoided Happy Hour? I wasn't aware of that.gon2srf wrote:We avoided the Happy Hour
I think BoBo did badges once. They were really cool! We still have ours around somewhere. They had screens names and real names and let you know who was part of the group.raYGunn wrote:I'm going to get a shirt made that say's "I'm sorry! I forgot your name." I met so many people I had a hard time with this. I'm not suggesting name tags though! Also I will answer to "ray" heh
So we could have a "Social Hour" when just the appetizers (chips/dips/nuts/etc) are put out and you can have the beverage of your choice. If the "Social Hour" is set up at a different set of tables, then it would be easier to set up the potluck and things could be a little more organized then the general "free for all" that usually occurs.gon2srf wrote:Some of us had a night run to do.Cnynrat wrote:We avoided Happy Hour?
