HOW TO POST PICTURES

Here's the scoop on how to post pictures.

First, you need to resize your pictures. If you don't already have it, Microsoft offers a free resizer gizmo. Click here to download and install it:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/Down ... rtoys.mspx . NOTE: there are many tools that you can install but for our purposes you will only need the picture resizer which you will find on the right side of the screen at the link.

Once installed, right click on a picture's title or icon on your computer and from the right-click menu choose "Resize Pictures".

We recommend that you select the "medium size".

Once your pic is resized, click the appropriate button on the forum to post a reply or make a new topic, type in your text, then click the browse button below the typing box, navigate to your picture file on your hard drive, click preview and you'll see your text and pic combined. If you like what you see, click submit. If you want to edit your text, delete the pic or add another pic, you can do that any time up until when you click submit.

That all probably sounds more complicated than it truly is. It's really pretty easy!

Thanks Dave. I think this is a fine way to add 2 or 3 photos but it seems quite time consuming to use this procedure for multiple photo inserts. Do you have any advice regarding uploading 10 pics or more?

According to the description of the Image Resizer: "This PowerToy enables you to resize one or many image files with a right-click."

You will still need to attach the files to your post one at a time. Move (or copy) the files you want to post to a separate folder. Resize all the files. Attach each file. This should make the upload easier.

I know you can upload multiple files at once into your photobucket, and there is an option to resize at the same time. Really easy.

Thanks guys.

Eric I just used the resizer on Photobucket like you suggested and it works great, thanks. I normally use MS Picture Manager for resizing but this saves a step,
