Ricky and Ronnies Closes

Times are tough and it looks like the latest victim is the Ricky and Ronnie's Cruise-In restaurant in Torrance (the site of our first Meet and Greet). From what I can tell, 12/12/08 was their last day. For those who enjoyed classic cars, RR was one of the few remaining places where you could go to show off your ride or see what others were driving. Sad!
My 56, before RR closed its doors.

Pretty sad. I used to go there quite often for car club meets and shows.

Very sad, indeed.
While I was a newcomer to Ricky and Ronnie's, it brought back the great feelings I had when ever I'd attend or participate in a car club show. From my limited exposure, it seemed like a great place in a bad location. I hope someone else brings it back to life....

I heard the staff was saying, "If they have one more damn OAUSA board meeting here, we're gonna close down the joint...."
We better be careful - we'll have to watch and see if El Torido folds, too...
