Mojave Preserve - January 23rd-25th

Very cool guys! Looks like it was a little stormy out there compared to our trip. Steve said it; winter camping is the best! There's just so much to see out there, I'm looking forward to doing it again sometime

Here's something interesting. "Balanced Rock" in Caruthers Canyon from our trip.

The Mojave is the best. To bad you missed the Cavern you need to see it some time.

It was a great trip. We drove through some of the most scenic, varied and beautiful terrain in this country. The weather, as cold as it was, was the perfect backdrop to the stunning colors of the landscape. It seemed every nuance of color and variety was on display for us out there and we all took it in with great appreciation. I'd like to thank the guys for a great trip. We ate like kings, and laughed easily on our way to one of the best trips I've experienced. Here are a few of my pics from the weekend:

That rock is actually named Phallus Rock for obvious reasons...

This was among the best off-road trips I've been on - a great group of people, changing weather conditions, amazing scenery, and no vehicle failures.

Thank you, Scott, for putting this run together, and for the best dutch oven apple cobbler I've ever eaten. Thank you Nikos (Sunnygrill) for the incredible feasts we were able to partake of. Ollie, Chris (Frogeye), Eric (E-train) - you helped make this a memorable trip for me.
