Am I missing something here ???

For all the money TLC charges for the Icon, it doesn't have a roll cage in it ???

Sure looks good, but I'd hope to have serious protection built in to a serious off-roader...

I have built a number of custom rigs & was very impressed with the design & build quality from TLC. A few things i'd change like you mentioned a real cage something like the Baja 1000 Icon & its chassis/suspension in the optional longer wheelbased FJ43 - http://www.tlcicon.com/scorebaja1000edition.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I't Does have a roll cage & the Icon Baja 1000 edition has a full cage.
