Here's a couple pics of some cans Steve (or Zoe and Zeus) found near our first camp site that I decided to bring home (cleaning up litter or stealing artifacts?) Notice the lead seal in the top of the cans in the first pick. Yum, lead!




Now my wife's yelling at me to clean up the table. Gotta go.

Wow! Great trip report, pics and vid. Sorry I missed it (the ZJ is in still getting "phase II mods"), but hopefully next time. Glad everyone came through without (much) damage.

Just wondering, though - what was the fuel consumption with the (Land Cruiser/Lexus, & V6 or V8)? Sorry to be so ignorant of them, but they're probably the closest in size and weight to my Grand Cherokee. Just trying to determine how much extra fuel I might need to take along when I go. TIA.

lacruiser runs deisel and he made it through without the addition of spare fuel, but was close to the end of the tank. In my fj, I added fuel on the last morning but didn't need to. Just wanted to get it off the top of the truck. If bpenn doesn't respond to this thread, you might want to send him a private message to see what his fuel comsumption was.
