Death Valley 1/29/09

Post by traveltoad » Mon Feb 02, 2009 6:58 am

I just got back from a couple days in DV. We stay at the springs both nights and did one loop each day. Golar Wash on Friday (~200mi) and Steel Pass/Lippincott on Sat (~145mi)

Just a couple teaser photos for now...

Great pics, what a blast. How cold was it at night and do you really fit in that tent?

Temps were quite mild... mid-30s at night and 70's day. The sun was very warm but the air stayed cool.

The tent is actually not as small as it looks. Well, maybe it is... but it packs small and is relatively light.

I love these bike trips you share with us. I really need to get one when my kids get a little older.

Nice trip. Is Goler Wash level road now? I know there were some investigations going on up there in the past year.

No not level... but not at all as tough as it used to be.
