Table Mountain Fun

Post by Frogeye » Sun Mar 01, 2009 11:38 am

Hey all I got some more carnage to share. While out have a great time at Table Mountain located in eastern San Diego, I encountered another rock to my rear quarter panel. Here is some of the trail photos before I show you my damage:

Ok enough now some carnage I collected while navigating a tight section. OOPS!

Now if you know me, you know that as soon as I got home I started to get to work on it. I used my trusty harbor freight body repair kit

and started to work. All in all it's not done yet but I spent maybe two hours getting to the stage you see in the last picture. I still need to fill the last dimple dent that I could not pound out due to the tricky area that it is located. Bondo, and sand some more, and then re apply primer to look for any more low or high spots. I plan to get some silver metallic to finish the job. I'll post some pics when I get it all done. I love doing chit like this.

Sorry to see the damage, but looks like you've done a great job getting back to the way it belongs....now I know where to go when I smack my sheet metal....

Ah, you should of just left it alone. Battle damage! I bet I know where ya did that. There's a few big rocks that stick out on that off-camber trail. Nice pics and report!

Nice pics and damage repair Chris. That looked like a fun day, great weather for wheeling. Surfed trail 6 at San O both days, small but beautiful out. :D

Craig, I was invited on this run and not the organizer. It's a run I see adding to the list of possible runs in the future for sure. :ugeek:

Nice! with all this sun and warm weather, I'm about to start surfing again. We need to hook up.
